This novelette was okay. It was slow in the beginning, and I wasn't all that interested in the plot. The descriptions of the camp activities dragged on and on, and the exact height measurements of every character were a bit unnecessary. You don't need to describe every single character's hair color, eye color, height, and body type. The protagonist wasn't likable, though he probably wasn't supposed to be. The Lifeguard's redeeming quality was the ending, which I'll honestly say I didn't see coming. I liked that the protagonist has to live with what happens at the end. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but it was a good little read.
